Okota Pay is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Payments, wallets, overdraft, routing and Tambulika described on this website are the product we are building. They are not available from this website.

What a reservation means

Confirming and verifying a reservation:

• holds that tag on Okota Pay's reservation list
• checks your name against your national ID before any code is sent
• opens a receive-only account once your phone and email are both verified
• does not enable withdrawals, and does not form a credit agreement

As you type, we check the tag against tags already in use. A taken tag cannot be reserved. You may be offered other unused tags. That check does not show another person's details.

Using the site

Use the pages for information about Okota Pay and to prepare a reservation or a message. Do not submit someone else's name, national ID, phone number, or email.

Changes

Full customer terms will be published before you can receive money through Okota Pay. Until then, these terms and the privacy policy describe this website only.
